Located in the southeast part of Vermont, Manchester is another quintessential town. Larger than Woodstock with almost 4000 people in the city proper it is the home to Orvis, though their corporate headquarters are a bit further south in Arlington. Just to the west of downtown lies The Equinox Preserve, an area that covers 914 acres of forest lands on the eastern slopes of Mount Equinox . With hiking and biking trails it provides easy access to these mountainous woodlands. And fall is a great time to visit as you can see from today’s image.
