Standing among Mellon Creek in Las Animas County, Colorado where the sun has just gone down. I was able to catch all of the light bouncing off the clouds as the sun was disappearing for the night. It was amazing to get such warm colors in the water that complimented the freshly budding Aspen trees in the background. They were so freshly budded they are nearly translucent allowing for a beautiful contrast of vivid color in the foreground and more of a translucent effect in the background.
