Sangre De Christo Mountains

Aug 16, 1992
Spring comes slowly to the mountains of southern Colorado as snow clings into May in the Culebra Range of the Sangre De Christo Mountains. It is quite amazing to see the Aspen trees popping up around the range while there is still snow up in high country. As we stood atop the Stonewall, we could see all the way down into the valley and all the way back up to the peaks of the range. The light made for a great contrast between the bright sharpness of the trees in the foreground and the softer feel of the grey clouds and mountains in the background.
