This is the third image in the El Santuario de Chimayó series – the other side of the church gates. As opposed to the previous image with soft, open light all around, the varied light and dark arrangement of this photo emits a different feeling. These two images were taken within minutes of each other; yet, they are dramatically different simply because of the technique used and the way the light filtered through the trees and feel upon the subject.
