Run-off at Green River

Dec 06, 1990
With spring comes the run-off, and snow becoming water and flowing downhill to the Green River and beyond. This year, having been a good snow year, we have lots of water in the valley. I made this image of the Yampa River just south of Steamboat Springs and you can see how fast and wide the river is. But what I really liked was the almost dreamlike sense of the scene with the soft colors of sunset against the mountains.
