Earlier in the week we had a few evenings with some wonderful clouds. While coming back to town after shooting one of those evenings, I saw this light starting to happen and so immediately headed for one of my sunset locations. The result was
this image of downtown Steamboat Springs, Colorado with some wonderfully layered and multi-colored clouds overhead, while the image of Elk Mountain (The sleeping Giant) stands in stark silhouette against the yellow of the sunset..
